Government auto auctions happen each month or each week, depends how many cars the government has in it’s possession or how fast this stock needs to go. The vehicles which end up on local car auctions are in perfect shape and the documents are in order. Because of the current economical standings many people default on their car payments and ending up loosing their possessions. And because the government has no budget or place to store all these automobiles it organizes cars auctions.
The faster it wants to get rid of the cars lower prices it will charge for them. And this is where you can make some great money on the side. Most people go on these seized car auctions to purchase their dream cars for a bargain. But if you’re like me you are going there to make some good money.
So how can you make a little business on a public auto auction? It’s quite simple actually all you need to do is buy a car as cheep as you can get it then, advertise on the local paper or online and sell it for a much higher price. This is good and well but you might not get a buyer. Now what i do is i look at forums where there’s a general auto discussion and start a thread called wish list. And see what kind of cars are people interested in and how much are they willing to spend to get their dream automobile.
You see where i’m going with this? by doing this you can get a targeted list and next time when you attend a federal auto auction you already know what to look for. Also make sure that you check out the cars before you start bidding, yes most of the times the cars in perfect condition, but when it’s about flipping it and sell it off to a higher price i want to be sure that the car is in the best shape that it can be.
What i love more about government auto auction then public auction is that there are fewer people bidding thus the prices will be affordable and I can make a little profit. Maybe you should take and expert with you on the next repo car auction so you will be on the safe side all the time. Also by now you know that after you have bought a vehicle there’s no guarantees.
All in all government auto auctions are a great source for almost brand new cars, you can find your dream vehicle or make a little business for your self and have fun while you’re doing it.
